Sometimes we find ourselves misguidedly defending by deductive argument what ought to be presented by historical affirmation. Christians must always be prepared to display, as far as they are able, the rational quality of the faith they profess. But we must beware of defending primarily as theories doctrines which are essentially descriptions of facts.
